Stephen Keller has been a longtime supporter of countless charitable organizations over the years, both in Minneapolis, and after his move to South Florida. He sets a fine example of leadership and commitment in our community, and has a particular passion for the arts. Stephen is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School, and remembers fondly his years as captain of the crew team there. Stephen was president of several manufacturing companies until his retirement. Throughout his life, he has supported and been particularly active with the YMCA, the United Way, and served as chair of the financial development committee of the Minnesota Opera. In our community, he has supported the Museum of Discovery & Science, Channel 2's Program Trust Fund. He is a distinguished Paul Harris Fellow of the Rotary Club, and serves as Vice-President of the Board of the Florida Grand Opera. In addition to his fondness of the arts, Stephen loves to engage in spirited conversation about his fascination with the financial activities of the world. His favorite hobby, however, remains ballroom dancing, A true philanthropist at heart, he has realized the need for major financial support to ensure and secure a future for keeping classical music alive in South Florida, and has placed his confidence in the Maestro and programs of the Symphony of the Americas, creating the Stephen Keller Legacy Challenge in 2005. It is his hope that other patrons will join him in this magnificent endeavor.
