Tuesday, December 4 @ 7:45 p.m. and Sunday, December 9 at 3:00 p.m. – Classic Christmas films, along with modern holiday movie favorites, offer priceless opportunities to bring the whole family together, making memories that last a lifetime. With this in mind, Symphony of the Americas presents two Holiday Music & Movies performances, including a very family-friendly Sunday matinee! This unique concert features principal musicians of the Symphony of the Americas, with repertoire that includes a range of music, from classics like Vaughan Williams’ “Greensleeves” and Tchaikovsky’s “Waltz of the Flowers” (Nutcracker), to contemporary favorites including “How the Grinch Stole Christmas,” “A Charlie Brown Christmas,” and “National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation.” And, what holiday celebration would be complete without such familiar tunes as “Sleigh Ride,” White Christmas” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer?” All of these and more are included for the ultimate holiday celebration, meant to inspire and put even the “grinchiest” members of your clan in the holiday spirit.

Pre-concert talk at 7:00 pm (Dec. 4) and 2:30 pm (Dec. 9) with Barbara Salani, concert pianist, professor & Musicologist
