| $50,000+ Madelyn Savarick Michael & Madelyn Savarick Global Outreach Creating Musical Legends Universal Globalism Through Music with Madelyn Savarick After sponsoring the Symphony's Michael & Madelyn Savarick 20th Anniversary Season, Madelyn has continued her commitment by beginning her global musical tour and guiding the vision of the Symphony's outreach to create new musical legends. Madelyn's support and sponsorship will benefit the Symphony's regular season concerts, and its Summerfest performances — reaching not only throughout the State of Florida, but encompassing several countries of Central America.Madelyn Savarick embodies the true spirit of philanthropy and service. This special lady has enriched the lives of South Floridians through her commitment to art, music, dance, theater, and other cultural endeavors in our community. The youngest of four children, Madelyn immersed herself in all things musical from the time she was a child, attending her first opera when she was five. "Once I became exposed to the wonders of great music, I couldn't get enough of it." This passion, encouraged by her mother, was passed along to her own children. Madelyn was educated at the Arts School at New York University and Goucher College, and is an artist of many talents, including dancing as a member of the famous Radio City Rockettes. She moved to South Florida in 1987 and met her late husband Michael, three years later. Both widowed, they married, and shared an abiding love for music. Since Michael's passing, Madelyn has continued her philanthropic works in his memory. Mrs. Savarick has also served on the Board of Directors of the Centre for the Arts at Mizner Park and commissioned a sculpture for the YMCA of Boca Raton entitled "Lighting the Way for Our Families and Their Children." She was recently honored by the Boca Raton Historical Society with its "Walk of Recognition" award for enriching the cultural life of the community. Numerous South Florida cultural, educational and health-care related nonprofit organizations have been the beneficiaries of her philanthropy. The Symphony of the Americas Society also honored Madelyn as a "Woman of Style & Substance" in 2008. With music in her heart, Madelyn is a generous benefactor who has helped South Florida to expand and deepen its cultural development. We are most proud to welcome Madelyn to our Symphony family.
