Enrich the cultural environment of South Florida and the Americas
by presenting diverse orchestral music and international ensembles on an intimate scale for public, outreach, and student educational presentations, taking a leadership role in fostering cultural relations with the Americas.

Lecuona Tribute Honoring Hispanic Heritage Month
Thomas Tirino, piano and Donna Balson, soprano
Program includes legendary Cuban composer Lecuona’s Symphonic Poem for Piano, Soprano, and orchestra “Del Manglar” recently re-discovered by Tirino (performance specialist in Lecuona), the arrangement of which has been commissioned by the Symphony of the Americas. The work is based on an Afro-Cuban theme and is one of Lecuona’s most serious compositions.
